Frequently asked questions
The ElevenLabs Impact Program provides free access to our AI voice tools for both nonprofit organizations and individuals with accessibility needs. Through tailored partnerships with nonprofits, we help expand access across healthcare, education, and culture. Individuals, clinicians, and blind or low-vision users can also apply directly for free licenses to communicate, learn, and create without limits.
We partner with nonprofits across healthcare, education, and culture to expand access to voice and audio technology for people and communities who need it most. Healthcare: We collaborate with healthcare nonprofits and clinics using ElevenLabs to create multilingual patient education, train clinicians, and develop AAC-related programs that enhance accessibility and communication in care. We also work with organizations that support individuals with permanent voice loss, providing free access to personalized AI voices. We’re especially interested in nonprofits serving diagnoses or regions not yet represented by our current partners. Education: We work with nonprofits that use ElevenLabs to make learning content more inclusive and engaging, from converting curricula, textbooks, and courseware into expressive audio to creating multilingual resources and read-aloud tools that support learners of all abilities. We also partner with organizations supporting individuals who are blind or have low vision to expand access to information through ElevenReader. Culture: We partner with cultural nonprofits to preserve and amplify human stories through multilingual audio guides, oral histories, and descriptive audio, making art and heritage accessible to global audiences. Through these partnerships, we’re building a network of organizations advancing accessibility, education, and creative expression — and empowering one million voices to communicate, learn, and create without limits.

In partnership with Bridging Voice, The Scott-Morgan Foundation, MND Association and many other organizations globally, ElevenLabs provides free access to their platform to people who have lost or are at risk of losing their ability to speak. These organizations help us distribute free licenses to these individuals and help people get onboarded to our platform. Additionally, we provide free licenses (Impact Program Grants) to nonprofit organizations completing projects in healthcare, education, and culture. Check out our blog and the partner directory above for more case studies about how nonprofit organizations are using ElevenLabs technology.

Yes. Clinicians, AAC specialists, and other professionals working with qualifying Impact Program participants can apply for free 12-month access to ElevenLabs Pro through the Pro Clinician Account. This program provides clinicians with a year of complimentary access to explore and understand voice cloning technology—allowing them to practice, demonstrate, and learn how to best support their patients through the voice creation process. To apply, first create a free ElevenLabs account. Once logged in and on the homepage, click on your profile in the bottom-left corner, select “Apply for Impact Program,” choose “Clinicians and Staff,” and follow the instructions to submit the required documentation. See tutorials above.
No. Clinicians should only use their ElevenLabs Pro Clinician Account to practice and demonstrate the voice cloning process. While clinicians are encouraged to assist and guide patients through every step, all Professional Voice Clones (PVCs) must be created and stored within the patient’s own ElevenLabs account, not within the clinician’s account. This ensures that patients retain full control, privacy, and ownership of their voice data.
Individuals with permanent voice loss qualify for 5 years free and renewable ElevenLabs licenses. Clinicians/professionals and individual nonprofit organizations qualify for 12-month free and renewable ElevenLabs licenses. Individuals who are blind or have low-vision qualify for 12-month free and renewable ElevenReader Ultra licenses.
