The RingCentral + ElevenLabs integration follows a straightforward API-first approach that developers can implement quickly. The process involves configuring RingCentral's Voice API endpoints, setting up ElevenLabs conversational AI agents, and establishing the communication bridge between platforms.
Step 1: SIP Trunk Registration
- Navigate to Phone Numbers section in ElevenLabs dashboard
- Click Import a phone number from SIP trunk
- Enter your phone number in E.164 format (+15551234567)
- Add a descriptive label for the phone number
- Configure SIP transport type (TCP or TLS)
Step 2: Authentication Setup
- Setup digest autentication: Enter SIP trunk username and password
- Static SIP trunking support is available on request for IP-whitelisting, please contact sales.
- Test connection to verify authentication
Step 3: Call Routing Configuration
Inbound Configuration
- ElevenLabs provides a SIP INVITE address for routing calls
- Configure your PBX to forward calls to this address
- Assign the phone number to your AI agent
Outbound Configuration
- Enter your SIP trunk hostname (e.g., sip.yourprovider.com)
- Select transport type matching your provider's requirements
- Configure media encryption settings (Disabled, Allowed, or Required)
- Add custom headers if required by your provider
Step 4: Agent Assignment
- Go to Phone Numbers in the dashboard
- Select your imported SIP trunk number
- Click Assign Agent
- Choose the conversational AI agent for this number
- Save the configuration
